Santee Cooper operates a mix of generators that utilize different fuel sources to provide the power our customers need. Each year, Santee Cooper's fuel mix changes due to weather, fuel costs, system load requirements and new generation stations brought on line. Santee Cooper's fuel mix includes coal, nuclear, hydro, natural gas , oil and methane gas.
